The Ancestors of the Future Fund is a call to individuals and other institutions for the co-creation of a philanthropic fund to support indigenous projects in three areas:
I – Use of technology for well-being in indigenous villages;
II – Production of cinema, music, games, and web 3.0 communication; and,
III – Training young indigenous individuals in technology mastery.
The call was launched at an event at the UN in New York, during the Climate Week (2022), emphasizing the importance of cultural expression and the entertainment industry in reshaping the collective imagination about indigenous peoples. This initiative is a partnership between the Institute Alok, the UN Global Compact – Brazil, and WeLight.
Ongoing Projects:
1. Native Sound Collection – Recording traditional and contemporary music albums of various indigenous groups (Yawanawa, Huni Kuin, Kariri Xocó, Guarani, Guarani Mbya, and Kaingang) in a professional studio, aiming to showcase the beauty of the musical culture of Brazil’s indigenous peoples.

2. Recode Pro Aldeia – Training young indigenous individuals as full-stack developers with the objective of integrating them into the job market and promoting entrepreneurship through the use of technology, including the creation of solutions for the villages.
