About the Raízes Meeting
Held annually since 2016 (except during the pandemic), the “RAÍZES: Great Meeting of Root Workers, Midwives, Healers, and Shamans” in Chapada dos Veadeiros is a “school-meeting” that takes place for free and is open to anyone interested in medicinal plants, Cerrado preservation, and popular culture.
RAÍZES is an open school of reconnection with ancestry and aims to strengthen, safeguard, record, and disseminate the cultural manifestations of these masters in a meeting led by them, fostering the exchange of traditional knowledge among peoples.
