Alok Institute collaborates with Ilê Isín Odé Aláàbo (Planaltina – DF, Brazil), an African religious house, led by the spiritual leader Babalorisa André Rabelo. The house originated in 2010, keeping alive the essence of the ancestry in the cult of Orixás.
A space that stimulates resilience, it disseminates the values and elements of Afro-religious culture and promotes social actions in the community: “We are a pinpoint of faith and fight for a secular nation, and for the guarantee that the least favored people will be members in the society”, says Pai André.
With the support of the Alok Institute, the Ilê Isín Odé Aláàbo house moves towards a community garden, to the construction of rainwater harvesting and solar energy harvesting systems. New rooms, a playroom and a library will also be built, and the kitchen will be expanded. An area for cutting and sewing, dance and rhythm workshops will be built.
