The Alok Institute, working together with the municipal government of Ituberá/BA through its departments, supports the Solidarity Circle in the Circulou program, one of the spaces at the Universo Paralello Festival.
The project is responsible for taking Art and Citizenship workshops to the city of Ituberá/BA since 2004, having as beneficiaries children, teenagers, young people and adults. In 2022, the project provided 64 hours of free activities, 1 show and a total of 920 people benefited from the whole community of Ituberá and region.
The activities aimed to promote meetings and knowledge sharing amidst artistic languages, focused on collective construction, alternative culture and to offer a space for the improvement of sustainable practices. It’s an extension project of Palco Circulou that enables the access to techniques and processes related to the Teaching of Art and Citizenship, which serves as the beginning of a demand for professionalization, also enhancing the values of cooperation and sustainability. A week of immersion in social, educational, and environmental activities with the development of reflective workshops and activities such as conversation circle, dynamics, coexistence, practical classes, distribution of booklets and a circus show, among others.

Circulo Solidário promotes and weaves a dialogue between the Universo Paralello Festival and the local community (Ituberá/BA), providing integration between the different actors engaged in the production of evidence, in the sharing and experimentation of new technologies and knowledge embedded into the society.
After these years of operation, the project continues advancing in the municipality, fostering actions in the communities and valuing cultural and artistic diversity.
