Intending to consolidate and expand its social impact, Instituto A Nossa Jornada receives support from the Alok Institute to strengthen its organizational and administrative structure, ensuring greater efficiency in internal governance processes and in the outcomes of its social projects.
The partnership with the Alok Institute aims to:
- Optimize internal processes
- Strengthen impact monitoring
- Expand strategic partnerships
- Ensure the sustainability of ongoing initiatives
This collaboration enhances the institute’s existing social projects, which are expected to benefit around 5,000 people by the end of 2025 through the following actions:
- The project For a Promised Land is an initiative by Instituto A Nossa Jornada, in partnership with the Federal Government and the Ministry of Women, aimed at empowering and supporting the sustainability of 15 craftswomen from the Terra Prometida community in São Paulo’s southern region. The community has 1,612 registered adults and 368 children.
- Distribution of food baskets, formalization of small businesses (MEIs) and cooperatives, and promotion of rights through public policy actions in the community.
- Coordination of four Social Kitchens in São Paulo, benefiting approximately 3,000 people per month, in partnership with the Instituto Popular Paulo Freire and Ação da Cidadania.
Initiatives for childhood and youth (Terra Prometida), sports (Jaguaré and Barueri), and culture (documentary on Solidarity Kitchens).

Previous partnership with the Alok Institute
The Alok Institute has also supported Instituto A Nossa Jornada in a previous initiative benefiting 18 Indigenous communities located along the Lower Envira River in Acre, including: Paroá, Novo Natal, Belo Monte, São Francisco, Pupunha, Formoso, Novo Segredo, Boa Vista, Novo Paraíso, Xina Bebe, Belo Monte, and six Shanenawa villages.
The support involved purchasing over 3 tons of seeds and sacks for agricultural planting, after flooding in 2021 destroyed all of the communities’ crops.
