On the first days of its foundation, Alok Institute promptly joined efforts during the Christmas of 2020 to ensure that no Brazilian family went without a holiday feast or proper nourishment.
We have given support to the following institutions:
Ação da Cidadania Contra a Fome
(The Citizen Action Against Hungry)
During his New Year special show “ALIVE”, DJ Alok mobilized approximately R$500,000.00 in fan donations and contributed with an additional R$500,000.00 to the Christmas Without Hunger campaign by Ação da Cidadania. More than 6,000 fans participated.
Ação da Cidadania was founded in 1993 by sociologist Herbert de Souza, also known as Betinho, with the goal of defeating hunger and socioeconomic inequality in our country, giving assistance to over 32 million Brazilians living below the poverty line by that year.
Since its creation, the NGO has initiated a series of campaigns, with Christmas Without Hunger being the most celebrated among them. After a ten-year hiatus, the campaign returned in 2017 and gained full strength in 2020 to aid the now tens of millions of Brazilians living below the poverty line, according to data from the Federal Government’s Unified Registry.

Mansão do Caminho (BA)
(Mansion of the Way)
Mansão do Caminho is a social work entity connected to Centro Espírita Caminho da Redenção (Path of Redemption Spiritist Center, in English), founded in 1952 by two young idealists, Divaldo Franco and Nilson de Souza Pereira.
Located in the neighborhood of Pau da Lima, Salvador (State of Bahia, Brazil), the Mansão do Caminho started working with homes for orphaned or socially orphaned children, aiming to rebuild the family environment. Over time, homes have been replaced by school groups, professional training workshops and other social activities for social inclusion, supporting underprivileged children, teenagers and adults from low-income neighborhoods, providing them with comprehensive education. The Mansão do Caminho assists around 3,200 children and teenagers daily, among low-income adults and the elderly.
The Mansão do Caminho provides about 5,000 meals a day.
