More than 90% of the cities in Rio Grande do Sul were affected by heavy rains at the end of April and beginning of May 2024. The Alok Institute, along with companies and institutions, worked together to provide aid to the thousands of victims in the state. Around 1 million tons of food, water, cleaning and personal hygiene products, blankets, mattresses, animal feed, and 500 industrial deep cleaning equipment were sent for relief efforts.

To manage and distribute the items, we partnered with CUFA – Central Única das Favelas and Ação da Cidadania.
We also made donations to CIMI – Conselho Indigenista Missionário for the purchase of water purifiers (Instituto Felipe Neto) and the rental of rafts for transporting people and animals (mobilization by the artist Whindersson Nunes).
In addition to donations from citizens across the country, the Alok Institute gained support from companies such as WAP, GWM, Estrella Galicia, Café 3 Corações, Chilli Beans, Everest Refrigeração, Panthera – Technogym, Ovomaltine, Portobel Colchões, O Boticário, Grupo Rezek, Primavera Máquinas, Real Máquinas, Transportes Paineira, Valor Fiscal, Ovomaltine, Clínica Romana, Cifarma, and Líder Aviação.
We are also grateful to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), the São Paulo Air Base, and the Brazilian Postal Service, as well as our consultant friends Robson Feitosa, Rodrigo Dallarosa, and Caio Paduan.
Alok also contributed by donating his fees from his shows in Curitibanos (SC), Cajamar (SP), and Santa Terezinha de Itaipu (SC).
“Solidarity is a feeling that must be constant. The situation requires long-term organization to ensure a minimum of dignity for all these affected people, so I ask everyone to make whatever donations they can. Now is the time to look ahead, where only feelings of solidarity and unity matter,” Alok urged.
